Dr. Arlene Chung, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics from the UNC School of Medicine and CHIP/PHCI faculty, has been selected for the BD2K Data Science Innovation Lab for Mobile Health, which will be held at UCLA over the summer. This Innovation Lab is co-sponsored by NSF and NIH. It provides a five-day intensive interdisciplinary workshop to address the data science challenges associated with visualization, modeling, and analysis of biomedical big data coming from the use of wearables and ambient sensors. This lab aims to foster the formation of new interdisciplinary collaborations toward the development of novel or significantly adapted models, methods, and approaches to address the challenges facing this rapidly developing area of science.
