Intra Health (http://www.intrahealth.org/) is a company that has participated and recruited CHIP students at several fairs. They work with Open Health Informatics Exchange (http://ohie.org/) worldwide on multiple projects. There is no travel involved for internships (unless you really have interest) and some of them are paid.
