Recruiting Trainees for NLM T-15 Fellowship

Carolina Health Informatics Program (CHIP) is actively seeking applicants for the NLM T-15 Fellowship: National Library of Medicine Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Training Grant Fellowship Program.

CHIP's training fellowship focuses on Healthcare Informatics and Public Health Informatics with each trainee focused on their own health informatics research projects. Learn more about CHIP's training program here.

Doctoral Trainee Applicant Requirements:

  • Applicants must be accepted into a CHIP degree seeking program
  • Intensive background in data science/health informatics
  • Research focused
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident

Post-Doctoral Opportunities

NLM T-15 post-doctorate fellowship funding available for Master of Professional Science in Biomedical Health Informatics applicants.  

Carolina Health Informatics program (CHIP) at UNC – Chapel Hill seeks a talented, highly motivated post-doctorate student with a background in healthcare or related discipline for the NLM Biomedical and Data Science Research Training Program.  

Responsibilities include:  

  • Admission into the CHIP Master of Professional Science in Biomedical and Health Informatics degree program. 
  • Independent research project development and execution.  
  • Engagement with CHIP projects such as ENABLE HiDAV Bootcamp and DataAware. 

 

 Post-Doctoral Trainee Applicant Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Health Sciences (e.g., Nursing, Medicine, PT/OT), Pharmacy, Computer Science, Information Science, Biomedical Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline.  
  • Acceptance into the CHIP Master of Professional Science in Biomedical and Health Informatics degree program. 
  • US citizen or permanent resident.
