Funded Graduate Assistantship

Cost for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

  • 9-month Stipend (mid-August through mid-May)

    All graduate assistantships must meet Graduate School minimum stipend requirements (Stipend and Benefits Information – Funding – The Graduate School at UNC-Chapel Hill).

    Students work approximately 20 hours per week on their assigned assistantship during the fall and spring semesters. Students can work up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

    Inflation

    When budgeting for multi-year projects, the department’s policy is to use a 5% annual inflation rate on the current year cost for all budget categories where the rate has not been established.
